About
Krystian Lupa is a leading Polish theatre director, scenographer, and pedagogue. He has directed numerous critically acclaimed productions, including The Brothers Karamazov (1990), Kalkwerk (1992), Immanuel Kant and Ritter, Dene, Voss (1996), and The Sleepwalkers (1995, 1998), and has published several volumes of his writings on theatre. He has also taught at the State Higher Theatre School (PWST) in Kraków since 1983, with many of his students going on to become prominent directors and actors on the Polish and international theatre scene. In 2009 he was awarded the thirteenth edition of the Europe Theatre Prize.Professional activities
